The Kivalliq Trade Show Society has been coordinating the annual Kivalliq Trade Show since 2009, and in 2019 we celebrated our 10th year of the Kivalliq Trade Show. We didn’t know then that our 11th year would bring new challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The trade shows in 2020 and 2021 were canceled due to the pandemic, but the Kivalliq Trade Show Society stayed active with virtual programs, and the Kivalliq Trade Show returned with an in-person trade show for our 13th year in 2022. Planning is now well underway for the 2023 trade show in September 2023!
The Kivalliq Trade Show Society, created in 2012 is a not-for-profit society registered with Nunavut Legal Registries that annually organizes, markets, and delivers the trade show each year. The annual show promotes the responsible development of the business and its diverse economic sectors in the Kivalliq region.
The Kivalliq Trade Showis run by a group of volunteers who sit as Directors on the Kivalliq Trade Show Society. These volunteers include representatives from various regional and community-based development organizations from across the Kivalliq.
